What was the main cause of the Revolutionary War?
So, I need to write a paper arguing what is the main cause of the Revolutionary War. What is the main cause of the war? What are a few points I could use to back it up as the topics of my body paragraphs?

The American Revolution began as a transatlantic dispute over parliamentary authority and policy, as American colonists chafed against British measures to reconsolidate their hold over their North American empire.
The colonists’ faith in their sovereign, King George III, was dashed by his rejection of their appeals and his condemnation of their protests as an unlawful rebellion.
In other words, British missteps were probably the biggest factor in the war.

– Series of efforts by British to bring back authority including Tax and Stamp Acts
– Failure of British to understand intellectual and emotional development of Colonists
